Clackamas County Republicans are offering a $500 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator or perpetrators of vandalism on the Clackamas County Democratic Party headquarters.

“Our Democrat friends are correct in that political violence or intimidation is unacceptable in any form, and in that we stand with them united,” wrote Chair Rick Riley and Vice Chair Dan Tooze on behalf of the Clackamas County Republican Party.

Republican leaders said that Clackamas County Republican Party sympathized with the Clackamas County Democratic Party regarding the recent vandalism to the Democrats’ headquarters, regardless if it was random violence or a targeted attack.

Before the window could be repaired from vandalism less than a month prior, an unknown shooter overnight on Sept. 18-19 fired several rounds at the Clackamas County Democratic headquarters in downtown Oregon City.

Previously, someone threw a brick to break out the front window to Main Street’s county party headquarters overnight on Aug. 30-31.

The case numbers with OCPD are 23-018226 and 23-19536, and in neither case was another business downtown targeted. Anyone with information about the vandalism is encouraged to call OCPD at 503-655-8211.
